(4.6/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web)
Learn about astronomy from a different viewpoint at Planetarium Cusco. The family-run planetarium introduces you to the astronomy learnings of the Incas, a civilization with a special connection to the stars. The planetarium organizes excursions to its scenic location, secluded in the hills above Cusco (your ticket includes transportation to/from the city). Learn about the Incas, their history, and how the stars impacted their agriculture and architecture, as well as other aspects of their culture. View the slideshow of constellations projected in the intimate viewing room before going out into the night for some relaxing stargazing. Verify their schedule on the website and reserve in advance. Planetarium Cusco is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Cusco Edition.

  • We went with my girlfriend last September and I both insisted on going that finally convinced me, luckily. For to participate is has that call by phone to book place since the fit is quite limited, the majority of them hotels know the number of phone of the Observatory or easily is can find in internet. It is also advisable to look at the weather forecast for a day than not this cloudy skies to see different planets and stars in the second part of the attraction. The service begins when one pass it to search for the Plaza del Regocijo, then take you to the Planetarium which is near Sacsayhuaman. Activity count of 2 stages, at first give us an explanation that meant the stars and constellations for the incas, the relationships between the temples of Tipon, Macchu Pichu and Piaq, in addition to lead us to a room specially prepared to show us the different constellations (both in the northern hemisphere as South) and the Incas constellations. The second stage consists of outside the Observatory and see the different plans and stars with different telescopes boasts the Observatory. A very nice and educational activity.
