  • This convent was opened 1 year ago to the public, so there are several works of religious art still unrestored, but it is interesting to see how 400 years later, have been preserved with minimal damage despite the number of years that have passed. There is located the 3rd canvas more big of the world, of 108 meters square, with more than 80 portraits inspired in the line Franciscan. Very interesting to know. Admission costs 10 soles and includes guided tour

  • Simple on the outside, this church is on the right corner, on the way to the Arch of Santa Clara. We went there on the door prying more closely when a young man approached us speaking tour. Even know that this church was a convent and catacombs. For only 10 soles, ok, we decided to go in. To our surprise, had to guide in Portuguese. The interior of the convent is full of works of art and decorated rooms. The courtyard is lovely-a beautiful garden in the Center and many bows as part of the architecture around it. The tombs of the Franciscan fathers bones keep who lived there in the convent. In one of them, there were the bones of 12 priests. And the most surprising is the monumental, gigantic screen, which measures that measures 12 x 9 meters. She brings the genealogy of the Franciscan family, painted by Juan Espinoza de los Monteros. This is the third largest painting on canvas in the world. In one of the halls there is also another magnificent painting that shows the Armageddon-or the 3 worlds of the incas (the duel between heaven, Earth and hell). The choir of the Church is also sighing, carved in Cedar. A place full of peace and yielding beautiful pictures. Thanks a lot!

  • A museum like no other, has among his paintings old painting mas grande del mundo, (one of the 3 existing) is almost 15 meters and dates from the 17TH century and other pictures of character religious and very old. It has excellent views and their staff are properly trained to guide and answer questions from the you tourists. I recommend a visit to the place.
