Create an itinerary including Museo Inka
With a neatly and informatively displayed permanent collection, Museo Inka lets you learn about the culture and civilization that rose here in the early 13th century, dominating the region until the Spanish arrival in the late 16th century. Set in a site containing ancient Incan foundations, the museum showcases a good array of artifacts, including jewelry, pottery, textiles, and mummies, as well as educational models and reconstructions. Buy handicrafts made onsite by highland Andeans employing traditional weaving and carving methods to make pieces that represent excellent souvenir ideas. • Very well done museum show casing the Inca civilization, the cultures they conquered and the Spanish destruction of it. Lots of displays, including a special one of Inca textiles (see photos).

  • This is a nice museum dedicated to the history or the people of Peru. It's probably about a hour for a visit give or take. Currently they have a set modern art on display as well. While not a huge collection I found them very enchanting.
  • Best museum in Cusco. You don't need the city pass. Just 10 soles to get in. I would spend 1 1/4 to 2 hours here. Excellent pre-Inca and through Inca history. It does close early everyday at 4pm
  • Fairly simple museum with some artifacts dating back to the incan and pre-incan era. It's ok but doesn't really stand out as an incredible museum. There's a room dedicated to Machu Picchu as well which I enjoyed as i learned a lot more about the different ruins. You'll also encounter a room with mummies that is quite creepy. If you're in Cusco and you feel like visiting a museum, consider going here.
  • While the place isn't very professional they have a ton of artifacts! Note that the English descriptions are not available for all exhibits, but a good part of the museum does have English placards.
  • Fairly decent little museum. Worth an hour or so to stop by if you have the time.
