#8 of 26 in Museums in Cusco
Visit the small Museo De La Coca to learn about the role coca plays in Peruvian culture. Spread across two floors, the exhibits showcase the use of coca leaves in Peru and the history of the plant. View the information, available in English and Spanish, about the plant's medicinal and culinary uses, as well as its role in the production of cocaine. If you don't wish to chew on the plant itself, stop by the small gift shop, where you can purchase an array of coca-laced delicacies, such as chocolates, liqueurs, and beers. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Cusco holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Museo De La Coca and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

This museum has a breakdown of everything coca and cocaine from happy Incas chewing on coca leaves to first ever recorded snorting coke case to celebrities such as Freddy Mercury story about his falling of love in cocaine. The good, the bad, the everything. Also has a little shop where you can buy almost anything coca leaves from drinks to candy to coca leaves themselves.
