Casa Garcilaso, Cusco

(3.9/5 based on 80 reviews on the web)
Learn about the prehispanic Peruvian people of the Inca empire at Casa Garcilaso. This small but charming historical museum displays a number of period items, from cookery pots and water jugs to Incan weaponry. Check out the multimedia presentations on their history, as well as a room dedicated to colonial artworks from the era. The building itself dates back to the 16th century, as evidenced by its Andalusian-style architecture. Restoration has kept it going after three different earthquakes in its long history. • All sample is pretty well organized and pieces give you a good idea of the history of Cusco, from the origins of prehistoric, passing through the section inca and colonial; Maybe miss a little more space to display all parts or you can select the best exposure. For the rest, it is beautiful!
