(4.8/5 based on 1,900+ reviews on the web)
Once at the heart of the Inca Empire, Sacred Valley of the Incas plays home to many of the region's most popular archeological sites, cities, and places to visit. Grab your boots and trek through the area to get an up-close look at the mountain environment via the network of hiking trails and paths. Explore the rugged mountain valley to get a glimpse of Inca fortifications and settlements like Pisac, Moray, Tipon, and Ollantaytambo, which feature terraced hillsides and imposing stone citadels. The valley also boasts a number of quiet villages and colonial-era gems; Cusco is perhaps the best known, but plenty of smaller villages featuring markets and sights of their own line the valley's length. • This Inca fortress is in some ways more impressive than Machu Picchu. The height of the stairs and terraces and the buildings high above is awesome. Climbing to the top takes some stamina but there is...  more »
  • If we take its generality the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we have to start from the concept that it is a place that contains some very old populations. They offer their archaeological sites of Pisaq, Moray, Ollataytambo (exclude Machu Picchu deliberately by its specific weight), and the other, for example the Saltworks in Maras various attractions (Calca, Chinchero, theirs are Tipon). Sold the half day excursion along to Moray, Maras and salina and others departing from Cuzco take the road to Pisac, Urubamba and Ollataytambo. The truth is that the visit to archaeological sites have their time. The tour demanding a quick March to the people is usually done. It should be physically very well prepared for the tour, height play against and we can lose us magnificent views by fatigue. Touring, climbing in Ollanta to the upper area of the Citadel, or do so in Pisaq, trying to incorporate all the historical data, requires a minimum two hours. Down to salt and then back to the bus parking lot, equal to that in the site in Moray tour also takes its time. There is a third way out which is that of the South Valley visit Tipón, Pikillacta and Andahuaylillas Temple. Machu is the icing on this tempting cake.

  • The Sacred Valley of the incas this 3200 meters above the sea level, the first stop on the tour is the taray lookout. This viewpoint is characterized by having one of the best locations for the see of the Sacred Valley, where you can appreciate the beauty of this and the runway of the Vilcanota river, surrounded by mountains, towns and farmland where stands out the corn and quinoa. From here continuous to pisaq and ollataytambo respectively. Very nice
