  • First time we visit it, we were in their own car, parking is free. The entrance ticket to the Museum also provides income to the archaeological complex of the same name. We hired the services of a guide (Omar, highly recommended) who very enthusiastic gave us lots of information about the Museum the history of its parts preserved there, then the site of excavations and the order in which were found other mummies besides the great Lord of Sipan. Thanks to Omar, live an unforgettable experience surrounded by a great pre-Inca as the Moche culture. Thanks for everything! A highly recommended visit, do not let go!

  • The museum at the actual archaeological site is far superior in concept and execution to most other museums of Peruvian antiquities. For one thing, it is very well maintained, and also you are allowed to take photographs inside the museum. there has been a concerted effort to keep the artifacts here in Peru, and not to have them exported to the global antiquities trade, as often happened in the past.
  • A top Museum well prepared and you can also to the tombs. If have you seen!

  • Sipan is an archaeological site moche in the North of Peru, consisting of a set of pyramids or temples, also known with the name of Huaca Rajada. It is famous for its royal tombs, being the most renowned of the so-called Lord of Sipan.

  • A super nice Museum. I personally liked it better we the Museum in Lambayeque (Museo Tumbas real de Sipan), since on the one hand you can make photos, can visit the tomb and the left can see left of the temple. As a student, you come for 3 Sol. An adult paid 9 SOL.

Where to stay in Chiclayo

The city center, northwest of the airport, provides comfortable rooms in modern hotels located both on side streets and attractive boulevards. A few older establishments, colonial-Spanish in appearance, occupy some of the nicest spots in the downtown area. Consider looking in the residential areas for rental properties and family-run guesthouses--both represent good options for budget-conscious travelers and those on a longer stay.
