  • I love the trip to this amazing place, away form crowds. To hear the history and be able to enter the Pyramid.I woudl say not everyone will love it as much as i do but Huraz is well worth the time and ...  more »
  • We went to these ruins since we met in Huaraz, it was a nearly 3 hour ride from Huaraz. Road where you get is very nice and you can see real Peruvians as the place is not very big, long ago heat, and a very historic site. Still do not know Machu Pichu, but I just loved it. It is a very short walk once one is past, but the views are the most beautiful. You would never do or would not recommend it if you're only going to be a few days in Huaraz. I do not recommend to go with young children, unless they are adventurous, the journey is long, the road is winding (vomiting) and the issue of height. Success!

  • In the archaeological complex full of history where there is much to see; The lanzón monolithic, the Estela Raimondi, the Tello Obelisk, the Cabezas Clavas, Estela Yauya are some of which you can find here. Obviously they are reconstructions since the originals are in museums. Chavin to be one of the cultures most emblematic of the Peru, the number of people who visit complex is abysmal, only to enter the Chamber where the Lanzón monolith must be to really make a tail of a hundred meters, surprised me the first time, the number of people making the tail. Recommendation: Go early and go directly to the camera to observe the monolithic Lazon.
