If you're in Huaraz and have the opportunity, you should not visit Chavin. This archaeological site is incredible! We visited the place with children and at all times was curious and interested... galleries, Pike and heads sculpted are magnificent.

The journey is long and takes approximately 2.5 h and went at night ('Chavin night'). The place is fantastic and a place that shows us a bit of our history. We had a guide (hired from an agency), which gave us the historical details of great importance. It is fascinating!

It is important to go with a guide. Do not go in rainy season. Spectacular. Complemented by the Museum. Well preserved archaeological site.
