Islas Palomino, Callao

(4.5/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
A kind of mini Galapagos, Islas Palomino is a group of small islets rich in wildlife and lush tropical beaches. A large population of sea lions and seabirds are native to the area, so take your camera or binoculars if you wish to spot the creatures during your visit. Swimming with the sea lions is a viable option here, though visitors who choose to do so are advised that these are wild and unpredictable animals. If you're prone to motion sickness, be aware that the boat trip to the islands can be very choppy. See Islas Palomino and all Callao has to offer by arranging your trip with our Callao tour planner.

  • I went with my four year old nephew and it was for him a memorable experience. Almost everyone, adults and kids went swimming with sea lions in an atmosphere entirely naturalist. The context is like that of the Ballestas Islands in Paracas only that is a stone's throw from Lima. The organization is excellent as well as value for money. Highly recommended to all

  • I had the beautiful opportunity of swimming with wolves marine in his State wild in this place, is something truly incredible. To get from Miraflores it more safe is in taxi, but was very expensive by what was in bus, in total were 3 and indeed that if is a little dangerous when arrive to the Callao, for a woman that traveled single. The tour can hire it at the tip of the callao, is worth some 140 soles (price 2016). Go with an agency that include Guide, suit of neoprene and some snacks, because I had friends that van and them mounted in a boat and the pull to the sea without costume.
