Islas Palomino, Callao
(4.5/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web)
A kind of mini Galapagos, Islas Palomino is a group of small islets rich in wildlife and lush tropical beaches. A large population of sea lions and seabirds are native to the area, so take your camera or binoculars if you wish to spot the creatures during your visit. Swimming with the sea lions is a viable option here, though visitors who choose to do so are advised that these are wild and unpredictable animals. If you're prone to motion sickness, be aware that the boat trip to the islands can be very choppy. See Islas Palomino and all Callao has to offer by arranging your trip with our Callao tour planner.

  • Those who live in Lima have grown viewing the Islands, without having an idea of what there is, only some fishermen or sailors had an idea of ester refuge for life which are islands. You should perhaps study the impact of tourism in the life of the Islands, especially the practice of swimming with the wolves, is a good alternative to have those who like nature in Lima.

  • I believe this is one of the best attractions! A 4 hour boat ride through the nearby islands to Lima allow appreciate animals like seals, penguins, seabirds and dolphins. Whoever wants to, can dive with the wolves using the diving suits supplied by the company hired. But it is worth mentioning: Although beautiful, these animals have an extremely unpleasant odor (believe me). The tour was conducted by Eco cruises (information on the site and exchanged via email). They were very attentive, with a guide on board, the ride was safe and with small service of drink and snacks at the end. Recommend.

  • I enjoyed the ride out to see the sea lions and birds, etc. Sea wasnt too rough which was good for me. Sunscreen should be an obvious choice before trip
