Completed in 1774 to protect Lima against pirates, Fortaleza real felipe gallantly continues to defend the main Peruvian port. The fortress played a key role in a major naval battle between the Spanish fleet fighting to take back its colonial possessions and Peruvian land batteries. Today, the fortress is home to the Peruvian Army Museum, where you can see uniforms, weapons, and other military paraphernalia.   • I don't like those places, neither weapons nor what they represent. It is very sad to know the dungeons and imagine how terrible that human beings can be. However, I accept that the knowledge of that kind of torture gives another perspective in terms of the human mentality and abilities.
