  • The place itself has many historical burden, but travel is very short, while not to be Peruvian not it worth hiring a guide to explain something so obvious. In general the area is cordoned off and good half a block from the plaza. That if take into account opening hours.

  • If these in Cajamarca have that visit the room of the rescue. The visit is very short and nothing spectacular, but is a place history of great transcendence. The entrance costs 5 soles and with the entry you can visit also the Church in Bethlehem and other museums.

  • Guides are only in Spanish, pretty knowledgeable. Make sure you ask about the unofficial history too. Official one was written by Spanish.
  • Old building where, according to history, the Inca Atahualpa did collect a treasure, to pay for their freedom. Stands a mark indicating the level to which was filled with gold and silver, for this purpose and a slab where supposedly, was subjected to the stick penalty.
