  • The Church of San Francesco, characterized by a 17th century Baroque façade, much more restrained than the Cathedral, is undoubtedly the first Christian shrine built in Peru. Near the altar is the entrance to the catacombs. The Church is part of a convent open to the public, which occupies the site on which stood a temple or Palace which the Spaniards called it by the name of Fuente del Inca. Located in the Plaza de Armas.

  • The monastery has a supposed museu where you are guided by children repeating a text like parrots and showing you the obvious, treating you as ignorant. Blaming the poor quality of the paints on photos taken along the years as bad mantaince had no part of it. Reason for no pictures are allowed inside Not recomended
  • A church's beautiful architecture. At his side, towards the street Amalia Puga, is the chapel on the altar, an image there is beautiful from our Lady of Sorrows.

  • This majestic Temple is located to the South East of the plaza de armas, surrounded by the tattered Puga, Dos de Mayo, Amazon and Bethlehem. In the year 1562 the convent was completed and lived here the first Franciscans. The more famous of them was Matthew of Jumila who despite not be priest was which evangelizes to Cajamarca and Chachapoyas.
