From the viewpoint you can see the entire city of Huamanga (Ayacucho) in addition to the runway of the airport. Transport to arrive is not expensive so it is a very good to be able to take pictures of the city and enjoy the scenery. It also has handicraft shops and restaurants around it.

Basics to know the city in all its dimensions, as well as to see the arrival of aircraft and enjoy a delicious "muyuchi" ice cream of peanut milk simply delicious. Restaurants where you can eat dishes there tipicops as the puca picante, the Guinea pig and the hapcci... good choice to go to meet and have lunch.

I recommend taking a taxi from the Centre to get, they charge 6 soles. It can also be reached on foot, it takes a half hour aprox but the road is not so sure. The viewpoint is careless, lack maintenance, cleaning and security. It can be improved! As it offers very nice views of the city and you can relax a while there. Nearby there are many restaurants with good view.

A cultural place with a Museum, rides, restaurants with typical dishes, muyuchi and a panoramic and beautiful view of the city of Ayacucho. The Acuchimay Hill is an extinct volcano, you'll buenota climb to the lookout point and see the ground.

Where to stay in Ayacucho

The colonial-era streets of Ayacucho house atmospheric and sensitively restored hotels and family-run inns. Larger hotels built in recent times provide a wider range of facilities and services, including pools, restaurants, and bars. Informal and budget-friendly guesthouses fit in neatly with the look of private homes and stores on the residential streets in town, providing particularly good options for budget-conscious visitors who want to delve into the rich culture of everyday Ayacucho.
