Take a break from Inca trails and visit Ayacucho town, a thoroughly modern city center and vibrant hub of activity, culture, and history. The city houses 33 churches, each one representing a year of Jesus Christ’s life, but the impressive main cathedral at the heart of town stands out. Facilities, such as money exchange bureaus, free WiFi around park benches, and a tourist center all combine to remove the stress from your visit. Check the schedule of events, as the town frequently hosts parades through its streets. • I visited Ayacucho for Easter 2016, the truth no idea of what was going to enjoy. It was a very pleasant experience, many traditions that I could see, I enjoyed your carpets for the processions, the impressive processions and the environment in general. The tradition of the Easter-Bull was something I didn't expect, is a true street party thing to live it.
