  • Excellent tour with a guide who enjoys his work. My congratulations. At the end of the tour you can buy the desserts prepared by the nuns. Delicious!

  • Very quiet place, where you can see all the artistic process of Arequipa, at noon is heard singing nuns at closing ceremony live, can not go of Arequipa without visiting it

  • It's just one big claustro to visit with many rooms and great pieces exposed. You'll get to see the church from two exclusive point of views (the one of the sisters living in the Covent. It's definitely not santa Catalina, but for 20 soles (+10 for the guide for your group) you will not regret it !

  • The convent has been inside all Carmelite spirituality, filled with stories of faith and everyday life. The silence is that characterizes it.

Where to stay in Arequipa

Most accommodations in Arequipa cluster on the east side of the Chili River. The historical center offers the best selection of options, with plenty of budget hostels and mid-range hotels scattered throughout its streets. For something quieter, look north to the neighborhoods of Zemanat and San Jacinto. If you're looking for a suburban experience, stay in the western neighborhood of Yanahuara.
