Despite the fact that we went with guide we not get a good explanation of the place. I thought it was expensive for what you see... One of the mills operating with the written explanation to one side and ready... I end...

This attraction was part of the tour and the entrance is 10 soles. Honestly, there's not much to do, explained to us about the mill, their operation and purpose, there are some animals, a small waterfall and lots of nature. You do not lose much if you miss it.

Interesting visit to learn the ancient method of grinding through a hydraulic mill. There is also the option of a short stroll on horseback. Pity that people pull waste and trash in ditches... need a little care in that.

Where to stay in Arequipa

Most accommodations in Arequipa cluster on the east side of the Chili River. The historical center offers the best selection of options, with plenty of budget hostels and mid-range hotels scattered throughout its streets. For something quieter, look north to the neighborhoods of Zemanat and San Jacinto. If you're looking for a suburban experience, stay in the western neighborhood of Yanahuara.
