  • This museum is quite picturesque, is located very close to the plaza de armas, the architecture inside is old and you can see pretty art, the entry is not very expensive if you're domestic tourist.

  • A visit before the hour with the best guide that is! October 21, 2012, as we walked in the direction of Place d'Armes of Arequipa, a person greeted us and spontaneously invited us to cross a beautiful door. Our first impression was that we were visiting a special Museum. Over time we realized that we were in the House of our "guide" the language barrier was not allow us to better know the person who had welcomed us so well and we were in Sun-drenched Street asking us if we had not dreamed. Walter, Restorer of the Place d'Armes revealed us the identity of our host: Dr. Jose Villalobos Ampuero, said doctor of the poor and former Mayor of Arequipa. We spent very good moments in the beautiful city of Arequipa, but that day, our last, has been the most intense. We are pleased to learn that this House is now a Museum and wish long life to the doctor José Villalobos Ampuero. Anne & Jean Michel
