Huge environments and large tables, antique furniture and pictures, very high ceilings and many doors in environments, will not find modernity here, but if cleaning and a nice place, in the historic centre of Arequipa, gives you the possibility to visit many near tourist attractions as the Santa Catalina convent, the Cathedral, churches San Francisco, San Agustín, Santo Domingo, San Agustin, the company and the restaurants are great for that area, use your keen eye

It is a House of sillar that has been restored, and today, it became a museum. It belongs to the Peru's credit Bank (BCP) and is in excellent condition. You can find priceless objects, even today, no I mean how could get there: maps of the years 1,500 facts at hand, 2 totem of the Tiahuanaco culture, Chinese paintings, Chinese Dresser of more than 2,000 years old, inside which are the texts of Confucius written by hand, a desk with secret drawers, paintings of the Cuzco time, paintings banned by the Catholic Church because it appears as if Jesus had 3 heads, all the banknotes of the Peruvian history (since those events to ordinary paper), and a long etcetera. Impressive!

Where to stay in Arequipa

Most accommodations in Arequipa cluster on the east side of the Chili River. The historical center offers the best selection of options, with plenty of budget hostels and mid-range hotels scattered throughout its streets. For something quieter, look north to the neighborhoods of Zemanat and San Jacinto. If you're looking for a suburban experience, stay in the western neighborhood of Yanahuara.
