Hot Spring Nature / Park
Rejuvenate your muscles at Hot Springs (Aguas Calientes), a complex that includes natural thermal pools with different temperature, changing rooms, restrooms, hot and cold showers, and a small snack bar. Bring a swimsuit, and if you forget flip-flops and towels, you can rent some at the entrance. Don't be put off by the murky pools, as that is mostly the effect of sulfur and other minerals in the water. See Hot Springs (Aguas Calientes) and all Aguas Calientes has to offer by arranging your trip with our Aguas Calientes trip itinerary planner.

Where to stay in Aguas Calientes

Thanks to the town's proximity to Machu Picchu, most accommodations in Aguas Calientes charge considerably more than alternatives in slightly less popular locations. Mid-range hotels and economical hostels cover the needs of most visitors, from backpackers to families with young children. Many locals also rent rooms in their private homes--if you choose to go for that type of lodging, don't be afraid to haggle for the best price.
