  • It is an excellent place for trekking, 20 minutes from the square of Abancay. To enter the payment of 10 soles (tourists) is made from this point walking about hour and a half until you reach the first lagoon called Angasq'ocha to about 3250 meters above sea level. It is worth visiting this shrine surrounded by much greenery, nature at its best.

  • A very good experience. Located 185 km from the city of Cusco. We arrived at night and find accommodation. In the morning early 8:00 am undertook towards the Ampay National Sanctuary, are approx. 20 min by taxi. We were in a taxi, 20 soles from the Center to the shrine. We coordinate so that we pick up at 5:00 pm. We were also told that you can get walking to the pampas town and take a bus to Abancay. The cost of the entrance to the sanctuary for a day is 30 Soles for foreigners. You can also pay 60 soles for 2 or 3 days and camping at the site. In our case only went one day for what we did laguna Angasq 'ocha and Laguna Uspaq' ocha. To the first Lagoon is a moderate hike of 40 min to 1 hour, at a height of 3250 meters above sea level Hike moderate with two or three rest stops for 2:30 hours, at an altitude of 3850 meters worth the effort the second lagoon. In our case we started the walk 8:40 am and 16:00 pm we were in the center of visitors with time to be 1 hour in each lagoon. Updated 06/02/18

  • We are broken up early in the morning to get to the top, and escape to the heat of the day. In between the way seems incredibly far, but worth it! The Lakes lie beautifully and the flora is wonderful. Best with a local run, so that one is not lost even if signage is okay (the further you go to the top, it is the worse). Camping is also possible and ensure class!

  • What a nice hike. It's easy and it's a nice full day activity to do if you happen to be in Abancay town. I took a taxi at 5am that charged me 10 soles (3USD) to get me to the entrance. On my way down I just walked towards the road till finding public transport! The water is amazing and it's pretty well conserved. There's also people living in the preserved area so don't be surprise to find a cow or two on the way. People are very friendly.. There's no bathroom up there so take precautions! enjoy.
  • Beautiful views to go with everybody
  • Beautiful place. It is advisable to reach large Ampay, despite the fact that the trip is about 4 hours. Many spaces to enjoy.
