  • Baroque-style Franciscan church designed in three naves separated by columns with square base. The altar with sky vaulted with images supposedly of indigenous Guarani that built the temple and enslaved via the encomienda. The central altarpiece full of icons, which represents God features almost Polynesian or Asian, is finely wrought and gilded. Nave with coffered ceiling sky, aisles with altarpieces and beautiful carved wood, apparently disused confessionals. Floor paving stones, seats of wood with names of individuals and families, which certainly contributed economically to the Church. Surprisingly beautiful six-sided pulpit supported at its base by a male figure who holds it with arms raised. It has a huge choir, I sensed no if it is in repair or protection by scaffolding that underlie it. Simple façade in contrast to its interior, similar to Manor House in two waters, covered with shingle roof, side runners, with porches and simple Bell, mangrullo, independent Tower type. Interesting and neglected Church.
