  • The Jesuit mission of San Cosme y Damián impresses for being the only one who continues to work as a parish church. The town itself has a special flavor. What remains of the enclosures dedicated to the evangelization is impressive. And not to mention images of Saints. Real jewels that we show the delicate work of them native low the guide of them teachers. The guides are very well prepared, both at the site of the mission and the Astronomical Observatory. For the first time in my life I saw an astrolabe. Exciting all! Is actually required to return and spend the night to observe the sky at night with that beautiful telescope! I fell in love with this place!

  • Unlike other Jesuit these are restored in some parts and with constant use as a church. It is a bit away from the city with a bus that passes around 3 times a day from ida and is the same one that comes back. Previously before touring them ruins a guide makes it visit to the Observatory of the place explaining their contributions and a small recognition of them star in a small planetary then the guide accompanies to tour them ruins and explain each an of their parts.

  • You won't regret the trip to get there. The tour Is a kind of time machine that takes you to the 17th century. The astronomical observatory and telescope are also highly recommended !  more »
