3/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web
Take a break from sightseeing at Plaza Uruguaya, a quaint plaza originally the location of the Convent of San Francisco during colonial times. Today people stop to relax on a bench and watch the life of the city go by in this small plaza. Take in the surrounding statues and greenery, or go shopping for a souvenir at the small huts that sell items, particularly Spanish books. On the outskirts of the plaza sit small cafes, or check out the nearby historical train station to see some of the standing history of the area. Put Plaza Uruguaya into our Asuncion travel itinerary maker and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.
