  • I thought it was a cute dacro of 17TH century art museum, the mayotia carved in wood. We do not find the guide but if I believe that it is advisable to do so with guide since works do not have much explanation and so I have been told the guide makes a very good explanation.

  • One of the best museums in Asunción. Sacred art is the biggest artistic treasure Paraguay produced during its colonial period. Housed in a beautifully restored italian style villa in a quiet downtown corner. The Museo de Arte sacro exhibits remarkable pieces of art, mostly made by the Guaraní indigenous in the Jesuit Reductions that flourished in the XVII century.

  • Wonderful collection of sacred art, is reflected in all the works the fusion of European culture with the influence of guarani blood, artists (Guarani) knew how to translate in their carvings not only divinity but also the aspects most essential of your culture, their heroism, their spirit of warrior people, their passion for nature with beautiful details. It is recommended to go with the family (grandparents, parents and children) by way of rating our culture and share valuations among the members of the family.

Where to stay in Asuncion

Most of Asuncion's best hotels cluster in the city center, which can be crowded and noisy throughout the day. Less expensive options near the main bus terminal draw backpackers and other budget travelers, providing few amenities but quick links to public transport.
