  • A place without any infrastructure, all closed, very unkempt. Very humble, very simple. Narrow alleys. I hope that after the revitalization will improve.

  • The loma de san Jerónimo is the oldest district of Asuncion in the vicinity of the port / Costanera, the lagoon. It is a very colorful, authentic and romantic quarter with painted stairs, colorful houses, small streets, street lights and wonderful viewpoints, which offer views over the city, the lagoon, the Rio Paraguay. The district is now restored by the city because it crumbles on many corners, the power cables covering almost its beauty. The power supply is planned within the framework of the neighborhood restoration, underground to lay. Hereby the townscape will change much and positive. The restoration work will take 3/4 years. This area is still worth a visit and look forward to seeing already the result of the restoration.

  • We arrived at Loma San Jeronimo, but the place was a little weird. Before we came we ask information for each meter maids this time and they said it was just move on and then talked about "Luck". We feel strange, but we continue. We found the label indicating "Loma San Jeronimo" with the colourful little houses, but to go up the street, the houses were no longer so well preserved. We're looking for the shops and cafes that we had read on the internet, all closed. And when we ask for information to a person from there she said, "You don't know anyone here, they should go". Very strange and nothing like what we had read. We went on Saturday (I was told it was the best day, that had guidelines and everything else) near lunchtime with the intention of having lunch there, but found nothing. Comparing with Brazil, the appearance that he had was like a shantytown who tried to make a tourist attraction, but it didn't work.
