Our guide Teresa clearly loves her job, and is great at it - enthusiastic, well-informed, and friendly. We loved seeing monkeys climb our boat and eat from our hands, and the visit to the Indian villa... more »

We had a great guide, knowledge, funny and low key. It provided the opportunity to sample several iconic food items like geisha coffee, local chocolates, beers and rum. Would highly reccomend it! more »
We scheduled a city/ canal tour the day before. The owner Kevin, accommodated us and our guide Ross was fantastic! Super personable and knowledgeable. We are taking another tour with them and looking forward to it. Highly recommend!!! Highlight of our trip!!
Great service, the guys here helped us out to get a last minute trip on a Panama Canal tour which was brilliant. The price of these tours stings a bit but the day was relaxing, informative and we were nicely surprised by the light breakfast and lunch on board...
Be aware of companies having only positive feedbacks.. I went for 2 days tours with that "BareFoot" company, they just rip you off. -The Canal day tour is supposed to be with a guide IN THE MUSEUM and the TOP LEVEL building explaining about how work the transit, pretty technical. The Tour cost $89, ( no lunch included). Then a little drive to a view point to check few fishes in captivity and back to Casco Viejo. Just don't go for it, grab a taxi, and buy the entrance museum yourself. It'll cost you $25 all together. Even cheaper if you are a couple for the taxi. In the Museum, I had to try to follow guides from other companies, to had explanations although I red all the signs.. All other day company tours are this way !!! To entrance the Museum the guide had to be there!! The office agent Kevin, doesn't talk politely on the phone. Guide 50 minutes late in the morning meeting point... Sorry for the bad English, I am french... -Second day tour, "Monkey Island and Indian village" for $120!! .Firstly, it's not a full day but half day. Dropped for lunch time at 12 O clock and back to your hotel at 2pm.. .Secondly, be aware it's not the poular "Emberra Indian Village", it's another little "Indian Village" So, it starts with a little boat drive to the monkeys island, they are on the trees, you can't see them much, the boat is top covered!!. No birds can be spotted.. Then the 25 minutes in an Indian village . And try to get you to buy they handicrafts, making sure you understand that's the only way for them to live. What happened is that the Indian people living there for much longer than us became in trouble. We decided to say the areas they were living on, as protected area, a reserve, where it couldn't be hunted and harvested anymore. And they could leave or stay and told if staying that tourists visiting them, buying their handcrafts would get them to survive. Some of them sadly left... Our guide was great, very friendly and want to make sure everyone is ok. The company expenses were about $20 fuel, half day paid guide, as we were 7x 120 = $840 for half day for that Barefoot company.. Director in a hospitality and tourism company in south of France. Sorry for the bad English, I am french...
My husband and I did three tours with this company during our stay in Panama. Each and every one was completely delightful ! From Monkey island with Gonzo to fishing with Juan , we had an amazing experience. I recommend using this company for any extracurricular experiences on your trip . I can’t thank these guys enough for making our trip unforgettable !
I highly recommend this company. I was able to easily organize, through Kevin, the exact tour I needed for a friend visiting from Adelaide, Australia. We were picked up by Gonzalo and took the historic Panama canal train. He gave us a brilliant history of more than just the canal railway and answered all our questions. We loved the train ride which was picturesque and had lots of happy, singing Colombians on board. Gonzalo met us at Colon and continued with the story of the locks on the Atlantic side and time to enjoy lunch with a great and punctual tour guide. We returned with Gonzalo crossing the locks and were back in the city mid afternoon. It was a great adventure and I have lived in Panama for many years, so I can recommend it to everyone Thank you Kevin and Gonzalo I'll be back 😁
