  • We visited four beaches on Isla Contadora, and this one had very beautiful water, which was also calm and would have been ideal for snorkeling if we had the time (and I would have liked to explore the...  more »
  • Playa Larga as far as beaches and sea certainly is not the best of Contadora because of debris and the State of abandonment in which pours. Worth going for a walk away from the most touristy beaches

  • Ranking of beaches in beauty: 1-2-3 wide Beach Executive-Ranking Chief Beach for snorkeling: 1-Playa larga Beach, stone seawall on the left until after the break of the waves; far right, near the abandoned ferry. 2-Beach skipper: stone seawall near the old pier. Wall at the edge of the beach. 3-Executive: beach at high tide (in the morning), follow wall on the left side, watch current beautiful beach, easy and suitable for all ages. There's no structure, as it is in the area of the old abandoned resort, as well as the ferry down the beach from the hotel was closed (barely made the stay open). Bring food and drink to enjoy more the day here. The nearest Café is Gerald's (changed his name to Perla royale), is on the same street as the access to the beach, less than 15 minutes on foot. Beach clean, calm water. With the high tide is great for dipping; When the tide goes down (around noon), turns into a big pool (see pictures). If you want to do snorkeling, get there early and go for the wall of rocks on the right. When the tide goes down, go to the bottom of the sea where the indentation of coral stones, too many fish and, fortunately, can see large schools.
