Isla Grande, Colon

Categories: Islands, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
2.7/5 based on 170+ reviews on the web
Hop on a boat to get to Isla Grande, an undeveloped, picturesque getaway. With no roads, a population of just over 1,000, and only a few resorts scattered across its shores, the island remains a tranquil sanctuary with a laid-back holiday vibe. Rest on sugar white beaches, lapped by turquoise waters ideal for snorkeling and swimming. If you fancy a hike, head up to the old lighthouse, which sits atop the island’s highest point and promises picture perfect views. The island offers only sparse amenities, so if you’re feeling peckish, head to one of the resorts for a seafood snack or come prepared with your own picnic. • Boats to Isla Blanca in Portobelo are very expensive and a good choice is a large island that also has good beaches, snorkeling can be done and there are quite a few places to eat. He only but is that is far from Portobelo or Colon, and the communication by autobuse public is Pauley above all by the schedules. One option is a taxi which you must negotiate and give the time of collection. I do not is if it was too expensive charged me 15 dollars from ida and others back from Portobelo. Cheap boats to Isla grande.

  • Simply wonderful! The place is very welcoming your administrator is called Antonio and is very loved by customer frequent the place; the site you offers by 12 dollars it entry to the beach private of the hotel and includes Chair and table; nearby is the bar where you access different drinks and offer menu on the beach; the specialty the Octopus Creole with rice with coconut! It can rain for a moment but that does not diminish him nothing to your stay in East place! We asked a guide who leads and return to the hotel; the journey of ida takes 1 hour 40 min. Don't forget to stop at Portobelo and buy the handmade sweets: enyucao and quequis... and a combination called bom! Delicious with coffee!
