Hiking Trail Nature / Park
Hike through lush green rainforest along Pipeline Trail and reward yourself for your efforts with views of the 91 m (300 ft) tall waterfall located at the end of the trail. Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for a rich diversity of animal life, including the ever-elusive quetzal, toucans, howler monkeys, and sloths. Along the path, you'll see a 1,400-year-old tree called "The Really Old Tree." Take a good pair of hiking boots, light clothing, and your own water supply. • Very wide, level trail to supposedly the best quetzal viewing area around. We didn't see one, but did see a group of about 20 capuchin monkies. $3/person entry fee. Open 8am-3pm.
  • There are quetzels. Track is for 2h each way
  • Beautiful hike (one hour +/-) to waterfalls. First you'll find a smaller set, keep going to THE waterfall. No swimming here. Not a difficult hike, but plan for mud and crossing water.
