Arafat's Tomb, Ramallah

Categories: Landmarks, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 65+ reviews on the web
Visit Arafat's Tomb to learn about the hardships of recent history. Believing this is a temporary resting site for their leader, a symbolic rail track was put under the grave since Arafat asked to be buried in Jerusalem. Surrounded by water on three sides, the mausoleum is a modern piece of art in itself constructed from stone and glass with a symbolic surface of 11 m by 11 m (120 sq ft) that marks the date of his death. As Yasser Arafat was a well-respected and admired man, smiling or laughing during the visit is considered inappropriate. • Where are the remains of Arafat, the Palestinian leader. Local security is ostentatious, military standard, should not make jokes or leave the route. You can quietly take photos. The building and the grounds are beautiful.

  • Been here for the second time this year. It remains impressive. I amaze me time and time again on the kindness of the soldiers who keep an eye on.
