  • Hanna Lake is situated at a distance of about one hour from Quetta city. Not managed well. Adequate water is not available all the times you go. If you plan a BBQ picnic, it would be a fun. However, visit to the lake in dusty days (especially in May) are not recommended. If adequate facilities are provided there and local people are encouraged to arrange seasonal fairs/galas and sell their locally made products, it can promote tourism and contribute to local economy. Great potential is there
  • Nostalgic! My memories of a life time. From childhood to middle age. Place never fails to mesmerize me. Really sad to see it getting dried
  • After 45 years, on 28.11.17 I revisited Hanna Lake, Quetta along with my colleagues from HEC and IM Sciences, Peshawar. It was such a painful site since there was no water in the lake which has dried up due no rains over the years. It surely brought back nostalgic memories since the last time when I was here was in 1972 as a young child along with my parents.
  • In this rainy season, lake has been dried completely. You can see that there is no single drop of water. It seems that when there will be water it will be a beautiful place.

Where to stay in Quetta

Remote Quetta lies on a major regional train line and acts as a decent base for explorations of the wider region. As such, it provides a good number of accommodations for road- and rail-weary travelers. Mainly located to the east of the arterial road, the lodgings tend to be basic hotels set in modern blocks, or guesthouses in formerly residential streets. All lie within easy reach of the train station, goods and services, and the city's more urban attractions.
