Tomb Shah Rukne Alam, Multan

(30+ reviews on the web)
Landmark Tourist Spot
Visit Tomb Shah Rukne Alam to appreciate the architecture and pay your respects to the Sufi saint. See carved red brick ornaments and blue and white mosaic tiles, which altogether create a magnificent exterior. Octagonal in shape, with 4 m (13 ft) thick walls, the interior remains bare, providing a stark contrast with the ornate facade. From the outside, you'll notice that the mausoleum consists of three stories: two octagons topped by a hemispherical dome. You can also see geometric floral designs, as well as calligraphy motifs. Tomb Shah Rukne Alam is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Multan Edition.

  • Beautifully build and preserved historic site with excellent views. It is a shame that those persons such as Shah Rukn Alam, are subjected to Idol ism, a phenomena they have spend their lifetime eradicating. Do visit the place but ignore the usual practises found around the tomb of these holy men in Pakistan.
  • Peaceful place. Have family park aswel..
  • Very peaceful place to visit. Peace for the soul.
  • The Icon of Multan. Some of the scenes of "Sayyoni" song were shooted here, and some in the streets of hussain agahi bazar.
  • A great saint. May His soul rest in peace
