  • What is meant by the title "walled city of Lahore authority" is not quite clear to me: it involves a fragment of city wall around the old city inside the city walls or to any "authority"? No matter I reports on the old town, and I do like, because it's worth a report. Because it houses not only, for example, the two large mosques Badshahi Masjid and Masjid Wazir Khan or the Lahore Fort, but also a jumble of streets, which stretches a very watchable Bazaar with an abundance of sometimes tiny shops and stalls. At locals, this environment may look normal, foreign, however, feel in a chaotic, but puts most vibrant and colorful Oriental city. Roads and cul-de-sac chaos may seem daunting, fascinating to others on some foreign visitors. But despite the chaos can be found again a typical phenomenon of Oriental historic cities: "Searching on the competition", i.e. the industry focus on designated areas, for foreign relative easy to find the right district in which they offered a wide range of that specific product or craft get, which is why they came in the city. As for example the tinware Department in one or the scaffolding Department in the other lane or dead-end concentrates, or's owner of Flex machines sit side by side at an intersection and waiting for customers that has a special job. Halfway to understand complex events in the old town and the becoming gradually clearer commercial system, you should take several hours and several days. Boring, it is not intended.
