Monument Landmark
A national heritage museum, Pakistan monument serves as a perfect spot for sightseeing and learning about Pakistan's history. See the masterpiece of celebrated architect Arif Masoud, boasting richly decorated murals depicting scenes from the past. Designed in the shape of a blooming flower, and as a star and a crescent moon from a bird's eye view, the site symbolizes the country's rapid progress and development. After dark, the lights in the evenings make the monument look magical. Use our Islamabad tour planner to add Pakistan monument and other attractions to your Islamabad vacation plans.

Where to stay in Islamabad

Islamabad has plenty of accommodations, particularly hotels and guesthouses, to choose from. Look in Blue Area for the bulk of options. With the streets here so spread-out, wide, tree-lined, and new, the hotels tend to follow suit by being luxurious and spacious, although some exceptions can be found. Taking the form of guesthouses, budget-friendly options in town sit on the side streets, particularly around the College Road and School Road areas.
