  • Good museum. It's small and focuses on introduction of cultural heritage of different parts of Pakistan. It's well built and properly designed. Not very well kept though.
  • This is one of the best heritage museums in Pakistan. You can walk through the entire depiction of the 5 provinces and AJK too. U can also appreciate the culture of Saudi Arabia, Iran and Turkey here. Lovely family escapade :)
  • One of Islamabad's must go. The museum displays Pakistan's almost every major cultural image along with some regional countries. There is an old design theater as well, check with the management for upcoming events/dramas there. A small food court at front and a very traditional eating choice (Chapali Kabab) is available at the back. A great place for family n friends.
  • A must visit place for those who want to know about heritage & culture of all Pakistani cultures. A beautiful place....
  • A museum highlighting local culture of multiple places not only in Pakistan but other Asian countries as well

Where to stay in Islamabad

Islamabad has plenty of accommodations, particularly hotels and guesthouses, to choose from. Look in Blue Area for the bulk of options. With the streets here so spread-out, wide, tree-lined, and new, the hotels tend to follow suit by being luxurious and spacious, although some exceptions can be found. Taking the form of guesthouses, budget-friendly options in town sit on the side streets, particularly around the College Road and School Road areas.
