Daman-e-Koh, Islamabad

4.3
Climb up to the hilltop garden of Daman-e-Koh to enjoy panoramic views of Islamabad, seen through telescopes. The drive to the hilltop garden offers incredible natural scenery, but that's nothing compared top the view of Faisal Mosque and Rawai Lake from the top. In addition to the natural scenery, you can see some monkeys, peacocks, and some other animals frolicking in the area. You can leave your car in the onsite parking lot and a grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. • Personally one of my favorite places in all of Islamabad. Very well developed and modern, while simple and as close to nature as possible. I always prefer this place to take photos of Islamabad at night. The view of the city is beautiful, especially at night as the lights twinkle below just like the stars above. A must go in my opinion if you've never been here before.
  • Cool, calm, nicely developed and well maintained place to visit in evenings. Day time is also very calm and enjoyable. Food options are not very good so carry your own food with you. No development from last many years but still it’s good to visit with friends and families.
  • An excellent place with greenery and scenic mountain beauty in the heart of Islamabad. Located at reasonable height you can have a view of almost whole of Islamabad from here. If you have good binoculars, being them along and you quill greatly enjoy. There is ample parking space. If you don't want to walk, don't worry, there are golf carts which drive you to the peak point for a reasonable fee. Its a famous picnic point and has places for families to enjoy their own lunch and even do Barbeque. If you forget to bring your lunch, don't worry, you can done in at the famous Daman-e-Koh restaurant.
  • One of Islamabad oldest place of attraction and park.... On way to Monal a good place to have some relaxing time... And walk... One can see whole Islamabad view from this park..... Kids playing area is also available
  • Good view of Islamabad. Usually crowded on weekends and holidays. Facilities need to be added and existing need improvement. Still nice option for a quick break on a budget

Where to stay in Islamabad

Islamabad has plenty of accommodations, particularly hotels and guesthouses, to choose from. Look in Blue Area for the bulk of options. With the streets here so spread-out, wide, tree-lined, and new, the hotels tend to follow suit by being luxurious and spacious, although some exceptions can be found. Taking the form of guesthouses, budget-friendly options in town sit on the side streets, particularly around the College Road and School Road areas.
