Yiti, Muscat
(3.9/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
The village of Yiti attracts visitors with its pristine beaches suitable for swimming and surfing. A scenic ride along the coast will take you through quaint rural area, nestled between barren hills. With goats roaming the winding streets and whitewashed walls of simple houses, the village encapsulates the traditional Omani way of life. The beach is a popular spot for weekend parties and barbecues; look for interesting rock formations, natural stone arches, and secluded coves at one end of the longest beach. Unfinished construction of a development on the other end is the only thing that disturbs the scene of unspoiled nature. Add Yiti and other attractions to your Muscat trip itinerary using our Muscat travel itinerary planner.

  • A visit to Muscat isn't complete without the road to Yiti. No surprise the new part, built (from Bin Sultan Qaboos) perched at the top, to let people flooded to own another home. Then the stretch on the beach, where you can push the blue sea on board their vehicle. The way it is especially fun to drive, with big undulations and a spectacular mountain scenery

  • Another nice beach with a lot of space. Sea is usually calm and good for a swim. If you move around can find nice treks and secluded beaches as well in Yiti area. avoid during long weekends as it gets...  more »
  • Nice sand and very clear waters at this medium sized beach. We were the only people there for the majority of our visit one morning during our stay in Oman. Really lovely. There are no facilities here...  more »
