  • A very interesting exhibition telling the story of the military achievements of Oman from antiquity to the present day. It's just before lunch, before 2:00 pm.

  • Museum of the history of the Sultanate of Oman, the ruling family and the armed forces. Period affects the pre-Islamic history of the relationship of the Sultanate of Oman with other Arab countries and, of course, about the history of the armed forces. Note: 1. The Museum is open in the morning. 2. Admission is 1 OMR.

  • It is said that this was once the fort of Sultan which was later converted to a Museum. This is well maintained and a must see place for every person stepping into Muscat. Parking to be managed though

  • just back in the UK after a couple of weeks in Muscat. The highlight of the stay for me was a visit to the Sultans Museum. The quality of the exhibits is superb, The Military guide Yousef was knowledgeable and patient. The outside exhibits were a complete surprise in their quality and quantity. I would like to add I am an ex REME armourer and not easily impressed.
