  • We stopped here for a ride in this posh area of Muscat, knowing full well that the Palace is not open to the public but you can only shoot from outside. The neighborhood is very nice, the gardens adjacent to the Palace are stunning, here you will find some government buildings and the National Museum, newly opened and very interesting.

  • We stopped by the Al Alam Royal Palace on a recent excursion while in Muscat, Oman. We didn't get to go inside (not surprising), but it was interesting to see the "official" residence of Sultan Qaboos...  more »
  • The Palace is small but very impressive. Our tour included a visit outside but in reality I have not seen anyone else come in. Immaculately maintained, distinctive architecture, very very nice. If you get one in here worth a look

  • Just for pics. Not open for public. Its a waste of time.
  • A beautiful and peaceful place for visit. Displays vivid colours during the day and sparkling with light effects in d night. The buildings in the courtyard are majestic.
  • Palace of Sultan Qaboos with a good garden and nice place to click picture
  • Excellent palace of a great Sultan. Would have been great if a trip inside was possible
  • Locally called as Muscat Palace, The oldest palace of Oman. While new constructions are made but designs are matched with the existing buildings. Still the part of old history is secured and well maintained which can see from the still existing watch towers in the mountains. An exciting photo place for the visitors.
