  • Awesome this canyon as impressive the way to get on it. But fresh, relaxed atmosphere, breathtaking view from up there and the bleating of goats. A tour not to be missed. One of the most beautiful places of Oman from where you can see what it was capable of mother nature.

  • Reach Jebel Shams is already quite an adventure. First, at the entrance of the road that will lead you to the top you will see on the right side of the abandoned village of Ghul. The right place to stop for a photo can be easily identified as there is a rug salesman. The road leading to the canyon is mostly paved, leaving then give way to a dirt road though not too challenging and practical, if you dare, even with a hatchback. Just before reaching the Jebel Shans Resort, to more than 2000 meters high, there is a scenic spot protected by a railing that offers spectacular views of the canyon of Wadi Ghul. The scenery is great at sunset at dawn, if you have time advice to spend a night on the Jebel Shams to enjoy this treat and do at least one of the trekking on the rim of the canyon. Priceless experience.
