  • Following the Navigator we arrive to the village of the same name of the Wadi, in fact you have to follow a Brown sign indicating "Muqal Cave and pools". We find parking immediately and within minutes, following the course of falaj, we enter the wadi. We checked sadly at a time a bit (too) and the wadi was pretty crowded. The first large and spectacular pool, is located at the entrance of the canyon, overlooks the restaurant where there are also toilets and is patrolled by lifeguards. We decided wisely to achieve for the cave climbing on rocks and passing from the bed of the wadi completely dry, not finding anyone! In the cave, despite the narrow entrance, you can enter, perhaps accompanied by one of the local boys who definitely offer to guide you within here goes absolutely brought the suit because a bath is guaranteed, the water is not cold and clear calls just to dive. The water comes from a perennial spring located in the highest part of the wadi, and this also explains the lush vegetation. However, it should be borne in mind that the wadi is also frequented by the Omanis, so too skimpy costumes are definitely out of place. If you are adept swimmers, from the bridge that leads to the dining area you will find swimming pools. You can also make the "fish pedicure" If you soak your feet the minnows will rush you! Saw the path, which obliges to scramble over boulders and interspersed with small pools of water to cross on foot, don't wear flip flops but, rather, hiking sandals with velcro and sticky rubber sole, so that you can remove and replace them with ease. We had lunch in the buffet restaurant present in wadi, the fixed cost of 4 rial per person and enjoyed it. I think the best moments and less crowded are early in the morning or in the afternoon after 15 when people start to leave.
