4.2/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web
Enjoy a day on the sand and see endangered green turtles at Turtle Beach. The private beach, which you can enter for a fee, remains famous for its turtle residents and their difficult journey from the sea to lay their eggs in the sand. Depending on the time of your visit, you might spot only a few turtles, see a flock of them laying eggs, or, if you're incredibly lucky, even see the baby turtles hatching and making the strenuous journey back to the sea at night. Work out when and for how long to visit Turtle Beach and other Ash-Sharqiyah Governorate attractions using our handy Ash-Sharqiyah Governorate tour planner.

  • This beach is incredible by the proximity to nature. The turtles come in every day to night to spawn. It is possible to camp along the beach, (Oman's pretty safe) and wake up in the morning to see them going back to the water. The sea is excellent, with ideal climate. Access to the beach requires four-wheel drive.
