  • During a city tour of Trondheim, we have been tempted by this "small" Museum of science. Despite its modest size compared to other (London), this hotel is a real gem for the children. Very playful and full of interactive experiences, it allows kids (and parents) to understand lots of scientific concepts. Perfect...

  • The second time some of us were here. Think the concept is very good and fun for an hour or two. Had a nice time here today. The catch with the place is that they should put more in to brush up and keep in working order. Things start to get pretty worn. Otherwise fit the space for both large and small.

  • Nothing to find in one day...? Take a trip to the Science Centre. Where do you get lots of exciting and interesting things to both look at and try for yourself. Time flies while you're there and you go out again with a bunch of new impressions and good experiences. I look at others who have written on Tripadvisor that it's a bit fussy with all the little kids running around and shouting and screaming. It's probably something you just have to take into account as this is a place that is best suited for both small and large. But you want no matter get a memorable day.

  • The best place to take kids in Trondheim if you want to spend time indoors.
  • Awesome place to get to know more about science! Although the video that you had to pay 50 NOK extra to see was definitely not worth it.
  • Very fun and interactive. Not bad price either
  • Its starting to get a bit old but its enjoyable.
  • Great place for knowledge. Some of the installations should have had some rehabillitation.

Where to stay in Trondheim

One of Norway’s major cities, Trondheim offers a wide range of accommodations. As with any Norwegian city, it’s easy to find the high-end hotels with big price tags in the city’s historical center. With a student population of roughly 25,000, the town also caters to more budget-conscious travelers with a fair number of options. Look for reasonably priced hostels near the university. If you’re not opposed to roughing it the way Norwegians love to, check out one of the many campsites in the city’s outskirts. You'll still have access to the city thanks to the local buses that run regularly.
