To sit and enjoy a meal, with trondheim as sets is a winner. Can you not a walk in the forest in order to get the best view, then this is a good number two. The food is in the middle of the tree. Wonder really why it is decorated like an old farm.

Mediocre lukewarm food. Plus for the view. We ordered the steak. Shoe leather with lukewarm microwave bernaisesaus. Something so bad it's a long time since we've eaten. When the dessert finally arrived on the table was the ice nere soup.

Have a meal at the restaurant and enjoy the rotating views of beautiful Trondheim. It takes you about an hour to go around, and you'll be at the best spot to see the city from up above.  more »

Always a cool place to visit. Egon's restaurant at the top does require reservations to get a table on their second floor (the roaring one) for but some fret...you can arrive without a reservation and within 30 minutes be enjoying a changing view of Trondeim. Their pizza buffet is rather tasty if you're in a hurry too. 🇳🇴🍕👍🏻 Tyholttårnet is a 124 metre high radio tower with an observation deck at Trondheim, Norway. Tyholttårnet was built in 1985. The tower features a revolving restaurant, 80 metres up, which makes one complete revolution per hour.

Nice place with a great view over the city, and good food. The only downside is that it is often packed and there are queues for the lifts.

Good restaurant on the top spinning tower. Good price. Try fish soup here.

You cannot see much or make a nice photo through the small dirty windows with lamps mirroring on them

Where to stay in Trondheim

One of Norway’s major cities, Trondheim offers a wide range of accommodations. As with any Norwegian city, it’s easy to find the high-end hotels with big price tags in the city’s historical center. With a student population of roughly 25,000, the town also caters to more budget-conscious travelers with a fair number of options. Look for reasonably priced hostels near the university. If you’re not opposed to roughing it the way Norwegians love to, check out one of the many campsites in the city’s outskirts. You'll still have access to the city thanks to the local buses that run regularly.
