  • Ate good food on EGON in the top of the tower which has a rotating restaurant. Great view! I have proper elevator-horror and dreaded me to take the elevator back down when I thought it was uncomfortable. When I asked the staff if allowed to go down the stairs so they said that I should just let me know so should one of them follow me down, no problem! (not allowed to walk alone in the stairs). The set I REALLY appreciate:-) So then I had me with the food and let go and worry about the elevator back down! TIP-TOP! Highly recommended!

  • Nice place with wonderful views. We got quickly got a pretty food but kip burned burger and got pommefrites. The food was not good. Have most like to give a 2 for the food, but the view was amazing.

  • We took a short trip to stop by to see beyond Trondheim and to eat lunch on the way back home from our two-day trip in Trondheim. Was very nice to see beyond, and recognize the place. The food was as it usually on Egon pretty good, and the food came pretty quickly. Funny that the top part of the Tower go in around, so that one gets seen throughout the city. Only drawback was part the elevator queue with the page only one worked. May be that we take the return trip at a later time.

  • You cannot see much or make a nice photo through the small dirty windows with lamps mirroring on them
  • The food here is expensive anf barely above fast food standards. If you want to eat anything, take the pizza buffet. The view is okay, but most of what you see isn't that interesting. Go to Kristiansten Festning, ten minutes from the city centre, and you'll have a much better experience.
  • If you want to ,,visit" the city in one hour, this tower is your solution... :)
  • Nice view over Trondheim and surrounding areas. The top floor rotates. One round takes approximately 1 hour. Here are also a restaurant and a bar.
  • Awesome view of Trondheim! If you go up you can get food, but it's not unlikely that there's a wait. Also it might take some time to get here depending on how you travel. All in all its OK.

Where to stay in Trondheim

One of Norway’s major cities, Trondheim offers a wide range of accommodations. As with any Norwegian city, it’s easy to find the high-end hotels with big price tags in the city’s historical center. With a student population of roughly 25,000, the town also caters to more budget-conscious travelers with a fair number of options. Look for reasonably priced hostels near the university. If you’re not opposed to roughing it the way Norwegians love to, check out one of the many campsites in the city’s outskirts. You'll still have access to the city thanks to the local buses that run regularly.
