  • A short bus ride outside the city center is this pearl of an open air museum. A collection of historic buildings tells the story of rich and poor from the city of Trondheim and in the countryside arou...  more »
  • Visited sverresborg recently during advent, a great event. Also, they took the story seriously, old Norse vetter as Løssi and the Christmas goat was in place to scare the kids to skrekkblandet delight. The Museum also hosts many itineraries that is highly recommended. They are also active in the media with useful information-and reprimand.

  • Winter's most beautiful adventure! Visited the Christmas market at the sverresborg for the second year in a row. With all the activities throughout the Museum there is a treasure chest full of the Christmas spirit, from stories about Christmas in the old days, julepyntet City area and live music, to various stalls and ride with horse and carriage. Simply fun for the whole family!

  • A very nice museum with lots of things to see. Note that most of the items are outdoors, so you'd probably want to go on a day with nice weather. Also many of the objects aren't that well marked themselves, so bringing one of those information booklets is a good idea. You get an awesome view of the city and the surrounding area, but it's a lot of uphill walking to get there if you don't take the bus.
  • Great place to go if you want to experience how the old locale culture was. Also have a lot of activities animals and displays. You can almost spend a whole day here just walking around.
  • Fine place to take your family to. They have a nice café, and a lot of cool things to watch.
  • The museum itself was enjoyable with a lot of nice houses to look at, however the cafe inside the museum lacked prices on the majority of food choices; something that resulted in me and my partner spending 120,00kr on a single sandwich (that wasn't even whole!)
  • Really nice outdoor museum, lots to do for the kids as well
