  • A little outside the centre, is a place in nature with an itinerary to follow in the middle of a former Norwegian village, a path with hidden trolls and old wooden farm buildings. It's really nice to do, avoiding the rainy days because everything is outside except the cafeteria and a small museum.

  • We walked around old town which is open to anyone. The buildings are quaint! Nothing seemed to stop people without tickets in to the buildings. The tickets were only checked when entering the exhibits...  more »
  • Beautifully located open air museum on a hill with panoramic views of the fjord. display in a green environment of a large number of Norwegian typical houses from past centuries, both in the countryside as of Trondheim itself. Ruin of the Castle from the 12th century.

  • A very nice museum with lots of things to see. Note that most of the items are outdoors, so you'd probably want to go on a day with nice weather. Also many of the objects aren't that well marked themselves, so bringing one of those information booklets is a good idea. You get an awesome view of the city and the surrounding area, but it's a lot of uphill walking to get there if you don't take the bus.
  • Great place to go if you want to experience how the old locale culture was. Also have a lot of activities animals and displays. You can almost spend a whole day here just walking around.
  • Fine place to take your family to. They have a nice café, and a lot of cool things to watch.
  • The museum itself was enjoyable with a lot of nice houses to look at, however the cafe inside the museum lacked prices on the majority of food choices; something that resulted in me and my partner spending 120,00kr on a single sandwich (that wasn't even whole!)
  • Really nice outdoor museum, lots to do for the kids as well
