Tickets are selling at Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum, there's also bought a book with a detailed description of the Palace and plenty of photos of interior decoration.

  • The Norwegian King, whether he is in personal Union with Denmark or independently, had and has still a residence in Trondheim - just this large wooden house. It is located in the old town, on the island of Trondeim was founded in a noble palace. It easily reached on foot. But: The tour is possible only with leadership, therefore in time make themselves in the Internet understands! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately you do any pictures. Still worth a visit in any case. Of course, you can't get in the private rooms of the Royal family.

  • Wouldn't realise this was a royal residence just by walk g past, keep your eyes open
  • A huge old Baroque townhouse which in summer, especially, looks amazing with its bright colour.
  • Important historic location in Trondheim. Has a nice park on the back which is a nice place to sit and rest your legs in the summer.
  • Looks nice from the outside
  • Not very interesting

Where to stay in Trondheim

One of Norway’s major cities, Trondheim offers a wide range of accommodations. As with any Norwegian city, it’s easy to find the high-end hotels with big price tags in the city’s historical center. With a student population of roughly 25,000, the town also caters to more budget-conscious travelers with a fair number of options. Look for reasonably priced hostels near the university. If you’re not opposed to roughing it the way Norwegians love to, check out one of the many campsites in the city’s outskirts. You'll still have access to the city thanks to the local buses that run regularly.
