Jam to popular tunes at the jam station or draw graffiti, mix songs, and try break-dancing in the hip-hop room. The museum also features a hall of fame and a media library where you can browse music magazines or listen to music no longer publicly streamed. • We traveled as a group. Two floors of interactive exhibition was ok. Entrance/Foajeen could a have done more with this was a large area, and it was natural that one stays a lot there. This was completely sterile and not something that reminded of that this is a rock museum. Some music and maybe some monitors could have done themselves. There were plenty of room to create mount with effects and equipment from the North more recent music history. Good thing we have a museum, but this was too tame

  • If you are a Norwegian music fan, than this is the place for you. For me it is ok, but you can shelter from the cold weather during my hiking on Sundays by visiting its museum to warm up.  more »

  • Awesome museum! It shows Norwegian music from the 50's until now in an interactive, creative and fun way. Apart from original instruments and banda footage you can find rooms able to teleport you to the glorious past decades of modern music. The staff is really attentive, but the best part was floor number 4, where you can actually play (or mess with, depending on your previous knowledge) a variety of instruments and musical gadgets. The only downside is that written explanations are not in English. But overall a great museum worth the visit.
  • Place which you HAVE TO visit. I had a lots of fun here, especially in black metal room :-)
  • Interesting Museum. Unfortunately the interactive part of it was slightly clumsy. Constantly workers had to come and show how to do what...
  • The museum gives you an overview and history of Norway's pop music culture. The interactive exhibits and overall feel make it a worthwhile visit... if you speak Norwegian. The information is mostly in Norwegian and the very limited information booklet in English is not that useful. I visited on an open day when the entrance was free, but I don't think I would ever visit it again.
  • Nice building, and I love the foyer. Other than that it's an utterly rubbish exhibition with huge, glaring omissions. This museum is a case of "we want a museum even though we have nothing to exhibit". The few things they have are either biased around local acts from Trondheim or black metal.
