  • It will be one of the most terrific moment during your stay at Trondheim there's cool zacuzi outside, where you can still chill even under minus 15 degrees XD Cool water slides, and cozy saunas as wel...  more »
  • Yes you can thrive on the hours, and the kids can frolic in the pool, which is accessible in all ages. Here is the good place also to to retire, eat some food that is served in the remaining uranium branch. A little high price at the entrance, a little boring food, pull down. But by all means worth the trip if you like water, to will delight the kids.

  • Pirbade is a large and great water park for kids of all ages. Wave pool, baby pool, slides, diving Tower and a hot ("spa") swimming pool and locker rooms is good and it is easy with parking in the parking garage under the ground. Great task, especially on rainy days in Trondheim, Norway. Kids love this place. Inside the pool area, it is also possible to buy simple (Gulp/fast food) food if you are planning a longer stay.

  • Good water park. A little crowded on weekends. More relaxing during the week. Saunas. Water massages. Food area. Swimming pools. Water jumps. Sunset and seaside view.
  • Fun water park with choices for all swimming abilities. Slides, dives, climbing wall, hot tubs, wading pool, wave pool, etc. Some heated, some cool, some chlorinated, some salt water. Life guards are present but not overly bossy. Need a 10 Kr coin to lock the lockers (refunded when unlocked). Snack bar onsite is adequate. Spent an entire day here without the kids getting bored.
  • Good selection pools, but will routinely close down sections or the entire place, without notice, in favor of bigger events.
  • Lots of fun to be had! Varied pool types and exciting slides.
  • Great fun for all ages. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here!

Where to stay in Trondheim

One of Norway’s major cities, Trondheim offers a wide range of accommodations. As with any Norwegian city, it’s easy to find the high-end hotels with big price tags in the city’s historical center. With a student population of roughly 25,000, the town also caters to more budget-conscious travelers with a fair number of options. Look for reasonably priced hostels near the university. If you’re not opposed to roughing it the way Norwegians love to, check out one of the many campsites in the city’s outskirts. You'll still have access to the city thanks to the local buses that run regularly.
