  • Great museum, both adults and children had a good experience. The Museum is done on one, maximum two hours, but you also get access to builds up on the Castle Mountain including the Castle Mountain tower with magnificent view over the whole of Tønsberg.

  • If you are particularly interested in the viking age and/or story related to Tønsberg and surrounding areas one should visit this museum. Although, I have been there twice in the space of a year and going back. Something you won't find in other museums in the region is the long lineage that is located to the left as you enter. There understood there have been far more Kings in Norway than you knew. The place also has a café. Parking right outside.

  • Here is the full scale of the whale blue whale skeleton and other whales. A lot of history about the whaling in Norway and interesting exhibitions.

  • Friendly helpful staff, good exhibitions. Worth stopping by.
  • a few flashes of light for new construction, but still a little exciting. seen it once ... not for repetition (a problem for many museums-small room as the meeting place, not enough current. Hot spot could have been the medicine, but the wave never came to Norway.
