really nice and cool atmosphere with lots of ice sculptures. You get a warm jacket and gloves so you won't be freezing.

Nice to see but a bit too expensive.
Strange as this may seem, this was one of those attractions that is so much better than it first seems. We were on the Hertigruten, we got into Svolvaer around 9pm, there's not much around, but there was Magic Ice. You follow the signs (white painted on the ground), you get to what can only be described as a dodgy looking warehouse - and that is where it all changes. A wonderful welcome, prices not too bad (alcohol is very expensive everywhere in Norway - by the time we got here we were used to it!). The sculptures were very good, wide ranging (not just a fish and a fishing boat), and impressive. Plus the ice bar (OK, maybe I am too impressed that my "glass" was ice but I'm old'ish!!!). Walked back to the ship very glad we had done this.
